in 40th Golden Joystick Award, FFXIV won in the Best Game Community category. Yoshi-P also recorded a video message regarding the event. Instead of a jury choosing the winners, everyone had to vote for their favorite game. This means that Final Fantasy XIV won this award based on user opinions. [Thanks, Umadori!]
Yoshi-P’s video messages have English subtitles for international fans to understand. He says this is possibly the proudest award he has received because of the nature of the game. As an MMORPG, that means a lot of people really enjoy playing it and being part of the community. He also noted that Final Fantasy XIV there are many events (both in-game and in real life) coming up to celebrate the 10th anniversary.
