FFXIV Patch 6.1 to 6.5 Roadmap Released
Square Enix has released a roadmap for the upcoming FFXIV update patch 6.1 to 6.5. In addition to major script updates, Square Enix plans to release a new adventure featuring Hildibrand. Also planned are the Crystal Conflict PvP mode, alliance raids, tribal quests, etc. More information on update 6.1 will appear in an upcoming stream in March.
The company has outlined the expected roadmap for each patch in time Final Fantasy XIV Letter from Manufacturer LXVIII current. The main content includes updates to the main scenario, “Hildibrand’s Some Adventures Farther” and the new side quest series “Tataru’s Grand Endeavour”. All three updates will span patches 6.1 to 6.5. While not listed during the live stream, Glamor related updates will also be available starting with patch 6.1.
Furthermore, each patch will have various patch-specific additions. On the topic of release time, Producer Naoki Yoshida said there will be four months between major patches; two weeks longer than previous updates. There will also be an extra week for summer and New Year holiday releases.

Patch 6.2 will introduce the continued rollout of the Trust system to dungeons in the other main scenario. Notably, the patch will also include the addition of Island Sanctuary content. Yoshida said that the Island content will be “fairly large-scale”. In addition, the “Criterion” dungeon will have different difficulty levels depending on the number of players participating.

As Patches 6.4 and 6.5 are still in development, Yoshida noted that the team will likely add more content as the plans are solidified. Square Enix will provide more information and updates in the near future.
