Ferrari unveiled the latest in its Special Projects program, a one-of-a-kind race car designed specifically for non-competitive track use.
known as Ferrari KC23, this one-off car was commissioned by “one of the top collectors of the Stambing Horse”. It took more than three years to develop.
KC23 used very successfully Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020 base and retain the rider’s rear-mounted midsection 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine.
Ferrari has not confirmed how much power the KC23 has, but the 2020 488 GT3 Evo produces up to 441kW of power and up to 700Nm of torque.
Ferrari KC23 was designed by Flavio Manzoni, who designed cars like LaFerrari, FXX-K, 812 super speed, Purosangueand most recently SF90XXat the Ferrari Style Center.
Every line of the 488 GT3 Evo 2020 as well as the glass and light clusters have been redesigned.
Exterior highlights include the motorized air intakes, large removable rear spoiler, clamshell bonnet and butterfly doors.
It comes with a specially developed four coat aluminum paint called Gold Mercury paint color. Depending on the direction and intensity of the light, the color appears to change.
The KC23 will be showcased with 21-inch front and 22-inch rear wheels, but 18-inch wheels are also offered for racing on the track.
On the inside, this latest exclusive car is quite similar to the 488 GT3 Evo 2020 that has been compared. The only differences are the door panels and the finish on the dashboard on the passenger side.
There are specific seats adorned with Alcantara with an electro-welded logo, with the rear camera acting as a rearview mirror. Ferrari says the rearview mirror with the camera can also be removed for a cleaner look.
The Ferrari KC23 will make its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2023 in the UK from July 13-16.
It will then be on display at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, Italy from August 1 to October 2.
