Fantasy WR PPR Leaderboard Week 12: Who Started, Sitting In Front Of The Wide Lens In Fantasy Football
In the wide receiver location, things rarely go according to plan. Injuries, matches, and performances of luck/random exceptions can cause a lot of frustration, but at least you can go into each week with sensible starting decisions. Our Fantasy WR PPR Week 12 Leaderboard is here to help tackle those tough calls.
First, let’s welcome back to the Cooper Kupp (@ Packers) PPR machine and say goodbye temporarily to Tyreek Hill, DeAndre Hopkins, and many other Leaders and Cardinals as they bid each other farewell. There are some studs in that group, but we could have survived this week without them. Owner Hopkins has been doing it for a month, so it’s nothing new to them.
WEEK 12 PPR RANKING:
Midfielder | Run back | Tight ending | VND / ST | Kicker
Cole Beasley (@Saints) and Jakobi Meyers (vs Titans) come to mind when you think of PPR-specific plays, and since each has a top 10 matchup for fantasy WR, go ahead. and put them on your WR3 or flexible point. The same goes for Hunter Renfrow (vs Dallas), but Dallas is a bit stronger in the open matches. Also, disappointingly as they were, Allen Robinson and Darnell Mooney (@ Lions) also have favorable prospects this week, especially in the PPR format.
WEEK 12 STANDARD RANKING:
Midfielder | Run back | Wide receiver | Tight ending | VND / ST | Kicker
Those people seem like the obvious choices, so let’s dig a little deeper. Jamison Crowder and Elijah Moore (@Texans), Kendrick Bourne (vs Titans), Marvin Jones and Laviska Shenault (@ Falcons), Russell Gage (vs Jaguars), Gabriel Davis (@Saints), Robby Anderson (@Dolphins), and Amon-Ra St. Brown (compared to the Bears) are more deeply considered tournaments. You may feel nervous to include some of these in your squad, but the matches go well. If you are struggling, what do you have to lose?
Davis is the riskiest, since he’s a big playmaker, but we wouldn’t be surprised if up to four Buffalo WRs were made against the Saints, who allow WRs the most fantasy points each match. The jaguar is like a very, very, very, very poor version of Buffalo against Atlanta. Jones is more of a league standard threat, while Shenault is a slightly better bet for catches. It looks like one will be in production, but who knows which one.
Courtland Sutton (vs Chargers) will most likely see your bench in PPR tournaments. He’s only had five catches in his past three games, and the Chargers are the #2 defense against fictional WRs. We understand if you can’t put him on the bench due to his form, but he is one of the biggest names likely to go bust. Tre’Quan Smith (vs. Bills) and Van Jefferson (@ Packers) have emerged as potential late-season sleepers in fantasy, but in these games it’s hard to trust them more than some picks choose another. Mike Williams (@ Broncos), Tee Higgins (vs Steelers) and Odell Beckham Jr. (@Packers) are in tough positions too, but each has some nice advantages, so they’re still at our starting level.
Suppress the urge to play the guys simply because they’re at one of three Thanksgiving indie games. We know it’s fun and gives you an excuse to ignore your family, but in the end it can be the difference between winning and losing a match when the knockouts come around. Of course, with so much injury/illness anxiety on the weekends, sometimes it’s best to hang out with guys you know are active. Assess your team’s situation and player prospects before figuring out what works best for you.
Note: We’ll update these WR PPR charts as needed throughout the week, so check back for the latest changes and analysis.
