Fantasy Waiver Wire Week 16: Ronald Jones, Justin Jackson Among Top Freelance Agents

The good news is that you’ve made it to the second round of the fantasy football knockout (and if you haven’t, stop reading and celebrate that you’re out of four months in prison we call the fantasy football knockout. ); the bad news is that all your players are injured or on the standby/COVID list. Literally, each one. Even if you’re somehow spared, chances are you can tailor your list to potential starting RBs Ronald Jones, Justin Jackson, and Samaje Perine or breakout WRs Amon-Ra St. Brown, Gabriel Davis, and Russell Gage. All will be among Top Week 16 Free Shipping and More Free Dealersand many streamers would be potential free agents to target after The waiver will clear around 4-5 a.m. ET on Wednesday mornings during Yahoo and ESPN tournaments.

Ours full free agent list packaged with said streamers in QB, WR, TE and D/ST. We even have an RB streamer this week, if you can believe it. We also have some more notable backs and wide receivers, but this week it’s mostly about the streaming options you can find the end of this list. Don’t bother worrying about which player will be the most exempt – just take whoever makes the most sense to your team. Jones will probably be a front-runner in most tournaments since he’s a clear starting RB, but you probably need a WR like Davis, Gage or St. Brown. If so, get them. You may want to play defensively and pick someone to block your opponent, but either way, you should use your waiver request. In fact, you should probably use multiple claims. If there is a player who could be more useful than the one you have, claim them instead of taking a chance in the free dealer.

Chances are, you’ll be shopping more throughout the week as players on the reserve/COVID roster and injuries are revealed, so stock up while you can and adjust later.

Top fantasy football exemptions for Week 16

Unless otherwise noted, only players who own less than 50% of Yahoo leagues will be considered.

Ronald Jones, RB, Buccaneers. Leonard Fournette “had problems” going into Week 15 with an ankle injury and he had to leave the field in the third quarter of Sunday night’s game because of a hamstring injury. It’s possible, even likely, he’ll miss at least Week 16 against Carolina. If he did, Jones would have handled the bulk of the Bucs brought in. He probably won’t see as many goals as Fournette, but the 15-plus and several scoring opportunities are enough to make Jones a solid RB2/flex. His Week 17 game against the Jets will help him firmly in the RB1 discussion.

Justin Jackson, RB, Charger. Jackson had his best game of the season in Week 15, dashing 13 times for 86 yards and adding a 13-yard catch. Austin Ekeler is rumored to be on the reserve/COVID roster on Monday, so Jackson will likely attend the even bigger Week 16 in a favorable game against Houston. It remains to be seen whether Ekeler will play (or if Jackson will test positive at some point), but in a way, Jackson is one of the most important shackles and could have a role to play. Worthwhile game even if they all back LA. is active.

Samaje Perine, RB, Bengals. Bengals coach Zac Taylor said on Monday that Joe Mixon sprained his ankle and “day in and day out.” He also expressed optimism that Mixon could be a good fit for Baltimore this week. Either way, if there’s a question of Mixon’s availability, Perine will be in very high demand. He does the math to see how many loads should Mixon play, and he has shown in the past he can create when given the chance (see Week 16 last year when he had a total of 136 yards and twice in total. TD over 17 touches.

Jordan Howard, RB, Eagle. Howard will play Tuesday for the first time since Week 11. Prior to his knee injury, he was active as Philadelphia’s 1A or 1B, averaging 12.8 executions and 68.5 yards. dashed while scoring a total of three TDs in the four games he played. It’s unclear exactly how things will play out in the Eagles’ backyard in the future, but Howard thinks it’ll be at least target/power selection. He deserves credit in case he gets a bigger role, especially with a favorable matchup against the Giants on the Machine for Week 16.

WEEK 16 PPR RANKING:
Midfielder | Run back | Wide receiver | Tight ending | VND / ST | Kicker

Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR, The Packer. There are better receivers on the exemption wire (see below), but the MVS has one of the highest ceilings. He caught five of seven targets in 98 yards and encountered Raven in Week 15, and since he’s had some stellar performances in recent weeks, he can be used as a explosive choice to go into the match with Brown. Cleveland is a good defense against fantasy WRs, but MVS is the type of player who can be productive in any game thanks to his QB and big play.
