Fantasy Waiver Wire Week 14: Elijah Mitchell, Corey Davis Injuries Make JaMycal Hasty, Jamison Crowder One of Top Freelance Agents

The lack of players had a clear impact in Top Week 14 Free Pick Up And More Free Agents disappointing this time of year, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any guys who can make an impact. As more injuries (Elijah Mitchell, Corey Davis, etc.) and COVID designations (Keenan Allen) were announced throughout the week, additional players such as JaMycal Hasty, Jamison Crowder, and Jalen Guyton will suddenly have an added value. These are not necessarily the players that need to be claimed for an exemption; instead, they are potential free agents to target after The waivers will be removed around 4-5 a.m. ET on Wednesday mornings during Yahoo and ESPN tournaments.

Ours full free agent list there are some notable deeps, like starting RB Rex Burkhead, D’Onta Foreman/Dontrell Hilliard, Rashaad Penny, and Tevin Coleman, in addition to potential WR3s. However, hints for the Week 14 streamer in QB, WR, TE, and D/ST (can be found at the end of this list) is potentially more important. There’s a bunch of defense-worthy streamers out this week, and with four solid D/STs to say goodbye (Patriot, Eagle, Hound, Dolphin), there’s a good chance owners will need one. Also, if you draft your kickman so he has his goodbye as late as possible, then you can end up using kicker leaderboard.

Without more injury and contingency news likely to emerge Tuesday afternoon, this doesn’t look like it needs to be a big exemption week. However, that really depends on each team in your league. This could be a must-win week, so owners will do whatever it takes, even if that means using the #2 exemption for a boom or bust WR3 class. or D/ST.

You can also see owners pre-plan Week 15 (and beyond) using the waiver request for that week’s key streamers. Whatever happens at this point in the season, so evaluate your team and your options and do whatever is necessary.

Top fantasy football exemptions for Week 14

Unless otherwise noted, only players who own less than 50% of Yahoo leagues will be considered.

JaMycal Hasty, RB, 49ers. Elijah Mitchell attended concussion treatment on Monday, and it was also announced that reserve Jeff Wilson Jr was dealing with a knee injury. Hasty will be next in line to face Cincinnati if both are eliminated. It wasn’t the best of the game, but given the power of the 49ers’ pounding attack it always seemed to matter who took the lead. Hasty has implicit flexibility value. Wilson would be the preferred choice if he was healthy and Mitchell was not removed from protocol.

Jamison Crowder, WR, Jet. With Corey Davis (core) for the year, Crowder will see goals increase. He’s still unlikely to be a consistently high scorer in the No. 2 role behind Elijah Moore, but with a favorable Week 13 game against the Saints, Crowder is a top streamer. His fantasy playoff schedule (Dolphins, Jaguars, Buccaneers) is also very favorable, so Crowder could be a difference-maker for the next several weeks.

DeVante Parker, WR, Dolphins. Parker caught all five of his goals in the 62 yards in his comeback game from a hamstring injury. Miami has said goodbye to Week 14, so Parker won’t have a high place on the pickup list, but with a fictional playoff schedule of the Jets, Saints and Titans, Parker is a must-add before the long run.

WEEK 14 PPR ASSESSMENT:
Midfielder | Run back | Wide receiver | Tight ending | VND / ST | Kicker

Jalen Guyton, WR, Charger. Guyton is about to have a great week (four catches, 90 yards, TD), but the main reason he’s on this list is because Keenan Allen was put on the sub/COVID roster on Monday. It’s unclear if Allen will be able to make it in time for Sunday’s game against the Giants, but if he does, Guyton will be No 2 in LA’s high-stakes game. That should put him straight into the WR3 bubble.

Green Bay Packers D/ST. The Packers are one of about nine legal D/ST broadcasters this week (Broncos, Chiefs, Saints, Browns, Chargers, Panthers, Titans, Seahawks), so you don’t necessarily have to use the waiver request over rope for them. But with the Patriots, Dolphins, Colts and Eagles saying goodbye – plus the Bills, Rams, Cardinals and Bucs all staring at unfavourable matches – it’s very likely some owners will be looking for streamers. We consider the Packers (versus Bears) the top unit this week, but no matter who you like, if you really want them, you may have to pay.
