Fantasy QB Ranking Week 13

Hope you enjoyed a “W” to end your Thanksgiving weekend, but it’s time to get back to business and figure out who starts at quarterback as we get closer to fantasy football knockout. Our Week 13 fantasy QB leaderboard sees a trio of rookie QBs in tough positions, but beyond those, we’re relatively deep with streaming review. All in all, everyone should survive the four-team goodbye this week.

The goodbyes were Aaron Rodgers, Ryan Tannehill, Baker Mayfield and Cam Newton. Rodgers will certainly be missed by many, but again, we think there are enough favorable games across the board to get through the week. We also got Patrick Mahomes and Kyler Murray’s goodbyes (hopefully), so that should help too.

WEEK 13 PPR RANKING:
Run back | Wide receiver | Tight ending | VND / ST | Kicker

Josh Allen (vs. Patriots), Justin Herbert (@ Bengals) and Joe Burrow (vs. Chargers) face tough matches on paper, but as can all explode with 40 points any week , you can’t really sit them unless you have some other premium option.

WEEK 13 STANDARD RANKING:
Run back | Wide receiver | Tight ending | VND / ST | Kicker

For those looking for streamers, Daniel Jones (vs Dolphins), Tua Tagovaolia (vs Giants), Teddy Bridgewater (@ Chiefs) and Matt Ryan (vs Buccaneers) are the people you want to target . Jones, Tua, and Bridgewater have been mentioned in most of the QB ratings articles we’ve written, as they are almost entirely match-dependent. This week they all faced weak defenses against imaginary QBs, so it’s time to start over. Matt Ryan has dropped his possession below 50% for the first time this season and he will play explosively in Week 13. Tampa Bay’s defense has improved, but Ryan can complete it with volume if not what else. His bankruptcy came from the Falcons’ inability to keep him upright.

You can also try Tyrod Taylor (vs Colts) or Taylor Heinicke (@Raiders). Taylor has a defense among the bottom 10 of the table against imaginary QBs, but we know the Texan’s offense is a lack of talent, so he doesn’t come without a risk. Heinicke is quietly on the edge of QB1 for a reason, so while the Raiders aren’t the best opponent, he’s played well enough to warrant consideration unless the game is absolutely awful. Jimmy Garoppolo (@Seattle) is also a good pick, but he scores low due to his inability to rush upstream and the potential for a dense game scenario.

Rookies Justin Fields (vs Cardinals) and Mac Jones (@ Bills) are facing top three defenses against fictional QBs leading up to Week 12, so we don’t recommend playing them. Both have shown lightning, but they are very risky in superflex/two-QB tournaments. Trevor Lawrence (@ Rams) faces a midfield defence, but do you trust him against Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey? Did not. Zach Wilson (vs. Eagles) really had the best game of all the rookies, but it wasn’t a risk we were willing to take.

Overall, starter or beginner “veteran” QBs have the best pairings, so that means the position is generally ready for solid production. Possibly considering sitting someone like Herbert or even Russell Wilson (versus the 49ers), but for the most part, even those should produce at a reasonable rate.

Note: We’ll be updating these QB leaderboards throughout the week, so check back for the latest player movement and analysis.
