Famous Paintings Ruining Climate Group Founder Says Holocaust Is ‘Ordinary Event’ – Watts Up With That?
Fox News has done a bit Dig into a fun character named Roger Hallam.
Roger Hallam – founder of Just Stop Oil, a British extreme leftist climate action organization — once downplayed the Holocaust as a “normal event” and suggested that climate change was a more serious threat.
Hallam, who also founded the climate group Extinction Rebellion, said in 2019 that there were many other instances of atrocities in human history beyond the Holocaust, in an interview at the time with German media outlet Die Zeit, according to The Guardian. After facing widespread criticism for the comments, Hallam noted that the climate crisis is another Holocaust on a “much larger scale.”
He continued: “They came to the Congo at the end of the 19th century and devastated it. “[The Holocaust was] almost a normal event. Just another f-ery in human history.”
After being rightfully condemned, Hallam issued a typical no-apology withdrawal statement. ie, but what we are dealing with now is even worse!
“I want to fully acknowledge the unimaginable suffering caused by the Nazi holocaust that left Europe saying ‘never again,’” said Hallam. “But it is happening again, on a much larger scale and clearly. The global north is pumping lethal amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere, while erecting ever greater barriers to immigration, turning entire regions of the world into death zones.”
“That is the harsh reality. We are allowing our governments willingly and with full knowledge of science to participate in the genocide of our young people and those of the global south by refusing to do so. urgent action to reduce carbon emissions.”
