FA Cup Final between JDT and Selangor on 24 August – Bukit Jalil LRT operations extended until 1am Saturday
Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) will take on Selangor in the 2024-2025 FA Cup final this Saturday (August 24) at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium, and a huge crowd is expected to watch the match.
As usual for big football matches, Rapid KL will cater to fans with extended LRT operating hours. The rail operator said that the Ampang/Sri Petaling LRT Line from Bukit Jalil LRT station will be extended until 1am. The match kicks off at 9pm.
All connecting stations will also have extended opening hours. Rapid KL reminds passengers to use their Touch n Go cards and ensure they have sufficient funds.
JDT are the Piala FA champions. Southern Tigers beat Kuala Lumpur 2-0 in last year’s final, and they also took home the trophy in 2022, when they beat Terengganu 3-1. They are again favourites, but this is the final and anything can happen. Selangor are not short of motivation – star player Faisal Halim’s acid attack and JDT owner and Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim’s mockery of the Sultan of Selangor Cup could act as catalysts.
