EVx 2022: Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD Dual Engine Experience – Range 576 km, 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds

Today’s auto industry giants are all fully electrified, but things could have been very different without Tesla, as it was Elon Musk’s EV company that, among other things, drove the push traditional automakers to seriously adopt electric motors.

The Tesla Model S is proof that an EV can be high-performance, desirable, and possible. It also succeeded when an SUV (Model X) followed, before the Model 3 compact sedan and its Model Y crossover sister followed.

Vision Motorsports and Zaibar Automobile are representing Tesla at paultan.org Electric Vehicle Show (EVx) 2022 this weekend, and they showed off the Model 3 and took a test drive at the Setia City Convention Center (SCCC). There are Standard, Long Range and Performance versions of the Model 3, with the latter two featuring dual-engine AWD.

Long Range AWD is probably the balance between price and performance. Coming to the RM380k, the LR has a claimed range of 576 km per full charge, which is the highest in the range (437 km Standard, 506 km Performance). It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds and has a top speed of 233 km/h.

Sure, the Performance version is even faster (3.1 seconds, 260 km/h) but do you really need that extra speed? Otherwise, LR has the advantage of 70km range and is about RM40k cheaper. Prefer the higher ride and more space that an SUV offers? The Model Y – the crossover version of the Model 3 – is also available at the EVx.

Besides discovering electric vehicles being sold in Malaysia, head to paultan.org Electric Vehicle Expo (EVx) 2022 to learn about electric motors from car manufacturers, ecosystem stakeholders Thais and electric vehicle owners who will be there to educate and enlighten.

Considering an electric vehicle but not sure about the finances compared to ICE vehicles, public charging vehicles, the cost of installing home chargers and the types of chargers on the market today? What about the car battery itself – how long will it last, and how much will it degrade over time? Get all your EV answers at EVx. In addition to car manufacturers, toll companies and even Tenaga Nasional (TNB) have booths here.

If you’re ready for EV life, order one at EVx. The first 70 customers will receive an exclusive EVx gift bag, which includes RM2,000 automatic window film (V-Kool), air purification solutions (Blueair) and includes a voucher worth price RM1,000 for a home photovoltaic (solar) system from Alpha Solar. Buyers will also receive attractive financing for electric vehicles from RHB Bank.

EVx 2022 is open to the public and admission is free. See you here!
