Every F1 driver tried to push his car to the finish

Stirling Moss often remembered as one of the best F1 drivers who never won a Formula 1 Championship – largely because he spent most of his career driving non-competitively British car beyond their capabilities. But he’s also a determined racer, and if he needs to push a car to the finish line, he will. And he did, twice.
The first to arrive at 1954 Italian Grand Prix. Moss’s race car was eventually seized after some engine trouble, and he was forced to push the car over the line a few meters after Juan Manuel Fangio took the checkered flag. By that time, he had gone nine laps and was ranked 10th.
Then in 1955 Monaco Grand Prix, Moss nearly led his opponent by a lap when his engine blew up in lap 80; he parked near the finish line and again waited until the final winner – in this case Maurice Trinticy – took the flag, according to Formula 1: Knowledge. Then Moss pushed his car across the line. Although he was 19 laps behind, he still finished in ninth place.
