EquiRing, along with Adrian Gonzalez of Checkmate Thoroughbreds, will join forces to create a sales location for the California market. The first sale will be held in April and will focus on 2-year-olds, training horses and current proven horses which could have a particularly interesting update. This will also be open to the breeder herd.
Adrian Gonzalez discussed the market, saying, “California is a vibrant market with great owners and breeders. We wanted a consistent and efficient way to trade horses. We have worked with EquiRing and enjoyed success with our stud season auctions, and we consider looking forward to building on that success with this joint venture.”
Jamie LaMonica, president of EquiRing said: “Adrian is a rising star in the business and is knowledgeable in every aspect of the game. We are extremely excited and enthusiastic to work with each other on this project. California has some of the best racing and breeding in the world and we look forward to serving them with our platform.”
