Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX has set a new standard in favor of his support for meme-based Dogecoin. Musk said SpaceX will soon start accepting DOGE payments for the sale of its goods. This development comes just four months after Musk’s electric vehicle (EV) company, Tesla, also started accepting payments with the crypto meme last December. The tech mogul has been an ardent supporter of Dogecoin and often says that DOGE will make a better daily payment alternative than other altcoins like BTC or ETH.
Musk, 50, posted a tweet to his 95.7 million followers announcing SpaceX’s plans to sell goods from his space exploration company in exchange for Dogecoin.

Despite Musk’s continued support, DOGE lost more than 55% of its value between May 8 and May 13, data from TradingView Shows.
Back in December, when Musk revealed that select Tesla merchandise available for sale in DOGE, the memecoin has increased by 25% in value.
This time, however, Musk’s new announcement does not increase the value of Dogecoin.
