During The Game Awards, Conan Exiles developer Funcom announced Dune: Spice Wars. Check out the new trailer below, it’s pretty vague, but has a very good amount of sand in a very large hand.
“Control the spice, control the universe,” is a humorous tagline for those who haven’t seen or read Dune (I’ll dig into it).
“Spices are the most valuable resource in the universe” their website says. “The spice extends life, expands awareness, and makes interstellar travel possible. Create your own story and play as one of a number of factions, including House Atreides and House Harkonnen , while vying for power with Dune and Spice.
“Best your opponents through political intrigue, crush them in battle and weaken them with your delusional spy network.”
Back in 2019, Funcom Announcement they will make “at least three games” set in the Dune universe (Duniverse?). They were pretty vague about what exactly would be, but now we know an RTS. They are also said to have an open-world multiplayer game in the works.
Dune: Spice Wars is set for early access next year. You can check it out On steam right away.
