Donald Trump’s former adviser surrenders to the FBI
Former Donald Trump adviser Steve Bannon turned himself in to the FBI after being charged with contempt by Congress for not showing up and being questioned about the January 6 riots on Capitol Hill.
Last week, Bannon was charged with one count of refusing to appear for impeachment and another count related to his refusal to provide documents to a House committee.

Each charge carries a minimum term of 30 days and a maximum of one year in prison, as well as a fine of up to $100,000, the Justice Department said.
“I’m telling you right now, this is going to be misdemeanor from hell for Merrick Garland, Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden,” Bannon told reporters, adding that he would “bring down the Biden regime. “
He was not ordered to be detained until before his trial. Biden’s government is trying to hold everyone involved in January 6 accountable after Trump was fired.
