Don Lemon regrets saying women over 50 are past ‘peak period’
Don Lemon is currently apologizing for the comments he made on CNN this morning early this morning. According to TMZ, the television journalist criticized presidential candidate Nikki Haley. But more than that, it claims that women over 50 can’t be in their “peak period”.
CNN’s Don Lemon is trending to say that women, like presidential candidate Nikki Haley, are far beyond their “peak” years — a comment that has left his hosts and millions annoying people online. https://t.co/DjlQqXGTwe

Don Lemon shared an early comment on Thursday
Don Lemon and his co-host are having a live discussion about presidential candidate Nikki Haley. Haley has received a lot of attention recently for claiming that “mental aptitude tests” should be required of older politicians over the age of 75, as reported by The Hill.
Lemon shared her thoughts on the matter. And explained that the “age talk” initiated by Haley made him “uncomfortable”. He then went on to say unabashedly that Haley, herself, was not in her prime.
She says something politicians aren’t at their prime, Nikki Haley isn’t at her peak – sorry – when a woman is considered prime, in her 20s and 30, and Maybe The 40s… If you Google, ‘when are women at their peak?’ it will say 20s, 30s and 40s…
Lemon goes on to say that it’s not necessary to “agree”. But feels Haley should “be careful saying politicians aren’t in their prime.”
The journalist’s co-hosts, both women, seemed annoyed by Lemon’s comments. He seemed to have noticed and asked them and the onlookers not to “shoot the messenger”.
He repeatedly mentions Google as his source of information.
Don Lemon says Nikki Haley isn’t in her prime as a politician because she’s not in her 20s, 30s or 40s. Damn. She is only 51 years old! Biden 80! This might be the silliest thing ever said on CNN. And I love that he cites Google as his source: pic.twitter.com/l1CzTYlkjX

Dear @donlemon,
My mother is almost 70 years old and she is in her prime. Being in YOURSELF means being healthy, happy, and completely confident in who you are and what your life purpose is…Signed,
A woman in her PRIME https://t.co/CQtwP9y7vm– Amee Vanderpool (@girlsreallyrule) February 16, 2023
.@NikkiHaley is 51. Why don’t you Google Hillary Clinton’s age, @donlemon? pic.twitter.com/TbnObmpL1o

I just “google” and found out that I’m a year older @NikkiHaley.
Based on @donlemon all women 50 and older are “past their prime!”
I suppose we’re just getting started!

Lemon Shares “Regret” For His Statements
Haley, a Republican, clapped in response to “liberals” for Lemon’s remarks via Twitter, on Thursday morning.
Liberals cannot accept the idea of holding aptitude tests on older politicians to make sure they can get the job done.
By the way, libertarians are always the most sexist. pic.twitter.com/PzpniQFLff

On Thursday afternoon, Lemon tweeted a statement regarding his commentary.
My mention of a woman’s “excellence” this morning is tactless and inappropriate, as colleagues and loved ones have pointed out, and I regret that. A woman’s age does not define her personally or professionally. I have countless women in my life who prove it every day.

Roommates, what do you think of Lemon’s statement?
