Domino’s is committed to providing 800 Chevy Bolt EV pizza delivery trucks


Domino’s is rolling out a fleet of 855 Chevrolet Bolt EV pizza delivery vehicles nationwide, with the first 100 expected to arrive later this month.

In a press release, Domino’s said in a press release that the initial 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV hatchbacks will get a flash of Domino paint and 700 more “in the coming months”. The company plans to deploy the entire fleet by the end of the calendar year 2023, but in the meantime, customers can track the number of vehicles deployed in each state with a online map.

The electric delivery vehicles, which will be managed and maintained by Enterprise Fleet Management, are the first step towards Domino’s goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. The company believes the scope of the operation. The Bolt EV’s EPA-compliant 259-mile drive will allow for “delivery dates,” while also forming a team of companies that will allow it to recruit drivers who don’t own cars.

This isn’t the first time Domino’s has turned to Chevy for an electric pizza delivery vehicle. In 2015, it launched the DXP, which is essentially a Chevy Spark EV with a built-in pizza warmer. Domino’s has not mentioned any similar modifications to its Bolt EV team. Domino’s has also invested in electric two-wheelers. It started to use electric delivery scooter in several markets a decade ago and in 2019 they launched a national program on delivery by electric bike. The company now claims to deliver e-bikes and/or scooters in 24 international markets, including the US.
