The Ardmore Animal Shelter has been overwhelmed with surrendered pets over the past few weeks. They recruited more than 200 animals in 11 days. But they didn’t hesitate to help a hound who was found abandoned with a severe wound to his neck in Walker Park.
Jet, as he was named by staff, was found in a crate at the park and taken to a shelter by a kind Samaritan. He arrived hungry and with a horrible wound to his neck. “His injuries were consistent with the possibility of an elastic band around his neck or intentional injury; it’s not your typical dip collar,” Statuses shelter.
Outraged at his condition, the shelter wrote a post call its previous owner. “Shame on you. Shame on whoever left this dog in a dilapidated cab in Walker Park this morning and in its condition, shame on you! ”
They go on to say: “Don’t worry, though, we’ll give your dog the help you turned down and love more than he could have imagined. Your dog is so adorable, still wagging his little chubby dog through the pain.”
The boy is said to be only two years old and still loves people, despite the pain they have caused him.
A veterinarian is treating him for the wound and will continue to monitor it throughout the healing process.
The shelter has asked for help in covering Jet’s medical costs, and their supporters have grown dramatically. In addition to raising money, many people have offered to adopt him. While the shelter thanked everyone for their kindness, Jet did not want to adopt due to his injury and possible trial.
“He will be in our care until all procedures and procedures are followed properly and we are completely comfortable taking him out to ensure he fully recovers and receives all necessary medical care,” Written shelter.

Jet is undergoing repairs and can be spotted wearing a green turtleneck as he greets guests from behind the front desk.
The shelter wants to save as many lives as possible, so they are planning to become a no-kill shelter by 2022. It will be difficult given the “incredible” number of enrollments they receive, But they are up for the challenge.
