A Michigan couple witnessed a miracle when their beloved dog that had been missing for 4 months was found and returned to them – unharmed.
A 3-year-old Australian Shepherd named Jinks went missing while camping with his parents, Don and Kim Carpus, at Ocqueoc Falls State Campground in July. The pair searched everywhere for Jinks and Kim even stayed at the Northern Michigan campsite for three weeks looking and waiting for him to return.
She eventually moved back to Milan, Michigan, but continued posting ads about her lost dog on Facebook and looking for her sweet boy. Worried parents have exhausted all options, including radio ads and flyers, but to no avail.

There were no reports of sightings of Jinks until he was discovered by a couple in Charlevoix, more than 70 miles from where he went missing, hiding under their RV.
The pastors, Randy and Susan Hitts, saw the tag on Jinks’ collar and immediately dialed the number. “The dog has probably flown hundreds of miles through the wilderness and is lying under my RV,” Randy said. told News Petoskey. “He’s had an incredible fortune to be alive.”

Apparently, Jinks was looking for his parents just as much as they were looking for him. “It’s amazing how much our RV resembles the owner’s. I can see how he could have thought it was exactly the same,” commented Susan.
As you can imagine, Jinks’ family was on the moon when they received the call that their boy was still alive and well. In addition to losing weight and stressing his body, he is in good health.
Jinks’ green with his card somehow held up during his trip through the wilderness, leading to his happy reunion.

Susan met her parents half way and posted, “He looks healthy, but is definitely ready for the groomer due to his coat and shaggy coat. That’s pretty cool, I think. Today, I got a front row seat to a miracle! ”
She posted a video of Jinks greeting his parents after being apart for months and it was shared around the world. The loving dog hugged her mother tightly and she said through her tears, “I miss those hugs.”
Jinks is happy to be back home and playing with his dog sister, Skye. He gets a warm bath and doesn’t let go of his “baby” toy.
