Without a doubt, buying a new camera or lens can be exciting, and if you can afford it, there’s certainly nothing wrong with enjoying new gear. Where things often go awry, however, is when people assume it’s a lack of equipment rather than technique or creativity that’s keeping them from getting the images they want.
