hyundai unveiled an Ioniq 5 specially tailored for Disney Princesses, celebrating the entertainment company’s 100th anniversary.
The D100 Platinum Edition Ioniq 5 is filled with Disney-inspired design elements.
Normally, when a manufacturer unveils a concept model, they never see the production line, however, the D100 Platinum Edition will go on sale in limited quantities later this year according to the manufacturer.
It is finished in Gravity Gold Matte and features Mickey Mouse-inspired wheels, Disney100 Platinum Edition badging, as well as a “light display” that projects twinkling animations on the headlights and taillights.
Hyundai has customized the launch sequence inside the car to play iconic Disney music, with the Disney100 logo and pixie dust animation appearing on the 12.3-inch infotainment screen.
The Disney100 logo is embossed on the front seat headrests, center console and floor mats, along with other Disney-inspired accents on the doors.
The carved moonroof features “pixie dust accents” and features a synchronized light show.
It’s unclear what the production model will look like as Hyundai has said that there may be some changes between the concept and production models.
“This is the first time Disney has opened up their design studio and granted access to iconic Disney characters for an artistic collaboration with a brand,” said Angela Zepeda, chief marketing officer of Hyundai Motor America. car manufacturer.
This car will go on sale in the US later this year with limited production.
Hyundai says it will release more information throughout the year before it goes into production.
The automaker announced a partnership with Disney earlier this year with a one minute advertisement at the 95th Academy Awards to celebrate Disney’s 100th anniversary.
The clip reveals that there may be more to come from the collaboration later this year.
