We even had a contest with sweet prizes – See the results
Although Shootout is a learning event focused on improving underwater shooting and editing techniques, event organizers, backscatter Underwater Videos & Photos and Under Exposuremanage to collect some very attractive prizes to give away in friendly contests.
This year’s jury – Berkley White, Hergen Spalink, Todd Winner, Erin Quigley, Joel Penner, Jen Penner, Cristian Dimitrius, Davide Lombroso and Dan Baldocchi – had the daunting task of determining the value of 12 submitted videos based on the criterion, “Do I share this video with my friends?” For stills, the rating is based on, “Shall I hang this picture on the wall?” Nearly 400 photos were submitted, making the review process a daunting task, often resulting in heated debates and a bit of a struggle. Finally, this year’s highest honor, The Jim Watt Awardwas presented to William Ewing.
