LAS VEGAS – Devin Haney will be looking to defend his fourth WBC lightweight championship when he faces mandatory challenger Joseph “JoJo” Diaz Jr on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden.
Haney returned to action six months after winning a unanimous decision against Jorge Linares. Diaz will make his third appearance in 2021 after a decisive win over Javier Fortuna in July and a majority draw against Shavkat Rakhimov in February.

The fight will add clarity to a division already shaken by the stunning victory of George Kambosos Jr. against Teofimo Lopez to win the WBA, WBO, IBF and WBC (Franch) titles. There is a high probability that the winner Haney-Diaz will face the Kambosos for the final result.

9:40 pm: Wyatt tried but she simply absorbed the penalty from McCaskill, who smacked her every second of every round. There wasn’t much that McCaskill didn’t hit her and before the seventh round began, it was clear Wyatt needed to show something. She does not. McCaskill hit her with his right hand and the umpire saw enough. McCaskill has a TKO in the seventh round and we’ll see what’s next for the undisputed champion.

8:52 pm: We live from Las Vegas. Two battles close the curtain, two battles end in the distance. Both Marc Castro and Filip Hrgovic wasted very little time handling their opposition. Hrgovic knocked out Emir Ahmatovic in the third round in a one-way fight while Castro hit Ronaldo Solis in the second round. Now we have time to kill.
