When Lexus gave birth, she had nowhere to go. She crawled into the backyard and cried all night while giving birth to her children. A family noticed Lexus and contacted “Hope For Paws. ”

When rescuers arrived in the backyard and shone their lights on the Lexus, she panicked and ran away. Neighbors, on the other hand, join hands to ensure that Lexus stays within acceptable limits. Time was running out, so rescuers rushed to the place where she gave birth as soon as possible.
The dog rescuers were stunned when they found a pile of puppies on the ground. One of them passed away, but the others barely held on. When humanitarians informed Lexus that one of her puppies had died, she was deeply saddened. However, she eventually realized that humans were there to support her and the rest of her puppies.

When the devastated mother dog brought Lexus to the shelter, she was nursing her remaining cubs when she felt a sharp pain in her stomach. X-rays show that Lexus swallowed a metal bottle cap. The poor girl scavenged for food in the trash cans and ate everything in sight so as not to starve.
Lexus was unable to have surgery because she is still breastfeeding her puppies. In the end, rescuers forced her to vomit and assisted her in getting all the garbage out of her stomach. She feels significantly better after that!
