DaVinici Resolve for iPad is now available

Video post-production lead DaVinci Resolve just released the latest version for iPad.

I’ve been using DaVinci Resolve as my primary video editing and grading suite for the past few years. I have a laptop and desktop version of DaVinci Resolve Studio to handle all my post-production needs. Today, Blackmagic Design is bringing those capabilities to the mobile world with DaVinci Resolve for iPad, giving editors and filmmakers the flexibility to get work done even when the office is far away.

The software is available as a free download from the Apple iOS App Store. The program is optimized for iPad Pro with M1 and M2 chips. It includes a clipping page, allowing you to edit your projects on the go — great for projects with tight deadlines. There’s also a DaVinci Resolve coloring page for iPad similar to the one you’d find on the desktop version. The iPad version still allows you to perform functions like PowerWindows, qualifiers, 3D tracking, and advanced HDR grading. DaVinci Resolve AI-powered mobile app powered by DaVinci Neural Engine. This helps with things like magic masks and smart reflow actions.

You can check out the show in the Apple Store today. The basic app is free to download. Those looking to upgrade to DaVinci Resolve Studio on the iPad version can do so through a one-time in-app purchase for $95.

What do you think? Are you excited to join your show on the road?
