Damar Hamlin’s Charity Donations Cross $2 Million In Hours After His Breakdown


The NFL community has been rocked by the on-field collapse of Receipt safety Damar Hamlin in the first quarter of Buffalo vs Cincinnati Bengals on the second night. Players and fans took to social media share prayerFind updates — and support Hamlin’s charity together.

Hamlin’s most recent Instagram post celebrated his third annual toy outing through his foundation, Chasing M’s.

A native of Pittsburgh and formerly Pitt prominent began setting up the fund shortly after the 2020 college football season ended and immediately launched its first toy drive, creating a GoFundMe page for donations. That page was still active, and donations poured in the Monday after Hamlin’s demise.

As of 1 a.m. ET Tuesday, the site has raised more than $2.4 million and is counted from over 96,000 individual donations. The exact figure of the amount raised before Monday is unknown but is believed to be in the low thousands of dollars.

“As I begin my journey into the NFL, I will never forget where I came from, and I am committed to using my platform to positively impact the community that raised me,” Hamlin wrote on the GoFundMe page. for the first ride of the toy.
