Dam of Ascot G2 winner sells for $430,000 on FT Digital


The cloud dancer The Flash Sale ended on the afternoon of June 28th in a big way as the bidding war stopped the clock at 2:04pm with the mare selling for $430,000 to David Hutson.

On June 20, Cloudy Dancer’s second foal—Shareholder (Not this time )—won the Norfolk Stakes (G2) for 2-year-olds at the prestigious Royal Ascot to remain undefeated. His victory was the third fastest in the race’s 40-year history.

Cloudy Dancer’s connections chose to place her in Fasig-Tipton Digital, and just five days after Shareholder’s win at Norfolk, bidding opened for the 8-year-old daughter of Invincible spirit In a flash sale that featured just one horse, the young mare found a new home with Hutson for a final price of $430,000, attracting 2,432 viewers over the next four days.

Cloudy Dancer was consigned by Brendan and Olive Gallagher’s Frankfort Park Farm, agents for Skyfall Thoroughbreds.
