CSRI launches a complete model of health data utility



The Consortium for State and Regional Interoperability, the nation’s largest collection of nonprofit health data organizations, announced the CSRI Health Data Utility Maturity Model last week at the HIMSS23 conference and exhibition.

CSRI’s goal is to address the most pressing public health challenges facing states across the nation – including maternal health disparities, epidemics of drug use disorders, and outbreaks. infectious diseases like COVID-19 – with a stratified model of health data utility features and services. can be leveraged by the state and other healthcare stakeholders.

Services provided by health data utilities in the states can range from clinical data exchange and electronic health record integration, public health services, claims exchange , research and academic services as well as quality and public health reporting certifications.

The CSRI HDU Maturity Model is a tool the industry can use to standardize the HDU concept, communicate the concept with existing health data organizations, state governments, and other stakeholders, and guide Strategic guide to inform strategic planning and decision-making for the future of state health information exchange.
