The Rajasthan Royals vs Kolkata Knight Riders match on Monday saw an interesting breakdown as the Royals captain Sanju Samson decided to review a decision out of frustration that the on-field umpire ruled it on a large scale, regardless of the umpire. Rinku Singh move around his fold and go further away from the stump to try and play ball. According to ICC Rule 22.4.1 of Wide, “The umpire shall not consider a serve as Wide if the striker, by movement, causes the ball to go past him/her or bring the ball sufficiently within range. with to be able to hit it with a normal cricket hit.”
Now, the implementation of the above rule is under the jurisdiction of the referee on the field as seen in the match. Former coach and captain RCB Daniel Vettori although feel that DRS should be used to decide on extensive calls to “correct mistakes” if any.

KKR won the match with the last 7 players to bounce back after 5 consecutive wins and continue their hunt for a play-off spot.
