Talented Moto3 rider Collin Veijer has secured a seat with the Red Bull KTM Ajo team for Moto2 in 2025, the next stage in the 19-year-old’s career.

The Dutchman is currently fourth in the 2024 Moto3 world championship and is in talks for just his second Grand Prix campaign. Veijer has made just 29 starts, taking two wins and seven podiums since his debut in early 2023.

I am extremely happy to sign for Aki and the Red Bull KTM Ajo team in Moto2. KTM is present in all GP classes and this is a great step for my career. It is a famous team and the past achievements speak for themselves. It will certainly not be easy coming from Moto3 but I will prepare well. 2025 is the right time to make this step, and physically the Moto2 bike will suit me better. At the same time, I realise that we are still only halfway through the current season and I will continue to be fully focused on achieving the best possible Moto3 championship result this year.

Tall and well-regarded for his quick adaptation to Grand Prix, mature approach and natural attacking style; Veijer is one of the brightest prospects to emerge from the Netherlands this century and will move into the intermediate ranks next year to continue his rapid trajectory and his path through the KTM Academy.

Aki Ako- Red Bull KTM Team Principal Ajo

I am delighted to have Collin on board, as we have been following him for many years. He has shown great progress and professionalism and has taken his first steps in the programme by joining the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. In two seasons in Moto3, he has proven that he is a rider with a bright future ahead of him on the world stage. What I also respect is his focus and sacrifice, as he has dedicated his life to achieving his goals at the highest level. It is a pleasure to continue the work of the KTM Academy and continue to push to maximise the potential of our riders.“ .

Prior to his move to Moto3, Veijer fought for the 2022 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup title and also picked up wins and titles in the FIM JuniorGP. He raced in Italy and used Spain as a training base throughout the racing season. Collin will join Deniz Öncü as part of Aki Ajo’s decorated Moto2 roster. The team won three Moto2 titles with three different riders in 2021, 2022 and 2023, and helped four riders advance to the top tier of MotoGP in that timeframe.
