Collaboration is vital to a constantly changing industry

It’s been exciting to sit in a room with some of the brightest minds at the forefront of healthcare and learn how they tackle challenges, when they come up with initiatives and what keeps them up at night. .

Modern Healthcare recently gathered executives to discuss some of the key issues they are facing. I’m sure the attendees left a lot to think about and hopefully have ideas to implement within the four walls of their own. An event focused on how organizations are transforming themselves and caring for patients by adopting digital health strategies and implementing new technologies. Another issue is about the importance of an environmental, social and governance agenda and the transition from idea to implementation.

At each event, the conversations between vendors, payers, vendors, and others are encouraging. Certainly, there is an interest in improving patient experience and profitability through the use of technology. Predictably, artificial intelligence has become a prominent factor in many discussions. Forward-looking organizations are also rethinking their mission in terms of accountability to their employees, patients, communities, and the world around them. Serving patients anywhere—whether by opening clinics in their neighborhood or through remote monitoring at home—is just one way to address those goals.

Such events allow like-minded leaders who have identified a topic as important to share ideas and experiences. The key is to continue to learn from each other, from the connections made in the hotel ballroom, and then return home with the desire to put the best ideas into practice. Cooperation is very important.

Everyone realizes that the healthcare industry is at an inflection point, with a lot of changes. At our events in the second half of the year, Modern Healthcare will continue to bring decision-makers together to explore industry challenges and explore opportunities to address them.

Our conference lineup for the remainder of 2023 includes the Women in Healthcare Leadership Conference, August 9-11 in Chicago; Leadership Symposium, September 14-15 in New Orleans; and the Social Determinants of Health Symposium, an online event on October 25.

We look forward to seeing you there.
