New watch, Chopard Alpine Eagle 41 XPS, a year after Chopard debut one small seconds display inside the Alpine Eagle Flying Tourbillon. The new watch expands the already impressive list of Alpine Eagle variants, to include models with flyback chronograph movements, high-frequency calibers, and more recent flying tourbillons.

This series houses Chopard’s premium LUC 96.40-L movement in a 41mm x 8mm steel case, topped off with what Chopard calls a “Monte Rosa Pink” dial.

Chopard explains that the new dial color is inspired by the natural colors of the Alps and is named to evoke the pale pink glow for which the second highest mountain range in the Alps is named.

The Chopard LUC movement inside the new watch, like so many of Chopard’s excellent in-house movements, offers a much-acclaimed 65-hour power reserve thanks to two stacked mainspring barrels based on each other. on Chopard Twin technology.

Chopard also equips the movement with a stop-seconds function backed by chronograph certification from the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute. (Note the words “Chronometer” on the dial below the logo.) In addition to the chronograph certification, this watch is finished to the Geneva Seal of high watchmaking technique.

Chopard builds all of its steel Alpine Eagle models with its own Lucent Steel A223, a particularly shiny and element-resistant alloy. Other collection features include a round case with stylized edges, a crown engraved with a compass rose, a bezel with eight functional screws placed in a tangent, a multicolored ‘eagle iris’ dial stamped color, luminescent indicator and metal bracelet. Price: $22,500.

Also new in 2023

In Watches and Wonders 2023, Chopard also debuted the newly launched Happy Sport 25mm collection in four variants featuring a choice of materials, straps – including a new double tour option – and diamond settings. Prices start at $4,450.

Also look out for the Imperiale, a limited edition of 25 rose gold cases in ethical 18 karat rose gold models with a lotus motif.
