It’s almost 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray be revealed! Chevy just released for the first time tease for the hybrid escort ship, allowing us to take a look at some of the exterior styling and reveal that it will feature a new “Stealth” mode. The official reveal date is set for January 17, which is a week from today.
The external photos do a good job confirming what we already know about the changes from configuration leak last month. The body color plates replace some Regular C8 The bits are painted in contrast and we get a super quick look at part of the E-Ray badge on the side of the car.
However, the most interesting thing in this trailer (above) is the presence of a “Stealth” mode. In Chevy’s video, the mode switch is being used to swap between “Normal” and “Stealth” boot modes. This means you’ll be able to put the E-Ray in neighborhood friendly mode to start the car and leave the neighborhood in the morning. We don’t expect E-Ray to be a Dip into the mixture with any extended electrical range, but like a typical mixtureshould have enough the battery power to back out of the driveway and get far enough away from your sleeping neighbor’s window before the V8 is forced to start.
Footage of the E-Ray driving around the city emitting an electric hissing sound shows that you can put it in Stealth mode for a short period of time when you also want to drive on electric power. If it is anything like hybrid Acura NSXThis electric motor will be a neat and short party trick for the Corvette hybrid.
The last few pieces of information we gathered from the video were the presence of what looked like a renewable substance brake mode buttons on the interior, carbon ceramic brakes, and of course, snow. The E-Ray is confirmed to have all-wheel drive, which would make it the first production Corvette that sends power to all four wheels. We’ll learn everything there is to know about E-Ray in a week’s time, so buckle up for January 17th.
