Chained dog rescued and released after owner said ‘Take her or we will kill her’

Lady is loved and cared for by the owner until there is none. One day, when she chased her master’s chickens, they got mad and decided to punish her for it.

But the punishment was unimaginable and too cruel. They chain Lady up in their backyard, forcing her to brave the elements. She sat there chained, unable to walk more than a few feet. She has no proper shelter and sadly has to live outside through a brutal winter.

Instead of agreeing to the right things and letting Lady back in the warm home, her careless owners let her die. When Sidewalk Specials magazine caught the abuse Lady, her owners told them “take her away or we’ll kill her.”

The sidewalk special frees Lady from her chains and transports her to a warm environment where she belongs. At first, she was fearful to the touch and stiff with fear, but she quickly understood that these people were there to help her, and that no one she met was as ruthless as her previous owners.

She received medical examination and treatment by a veterinarian, and was eventually given proper food, water, and a comfortable place to sleep.

The lady is finally free to not only walk, but also run like the wind. She loves playing in her new backyard, feeling the soft grass on her feet. She is enjoying her new-found freedom and loving her new life with her new mother.
