Car crashes into garden of Boris Johnson’s £1.2m home in Camberwell | UK News
A car crashed into the £1.2 million home owned by Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the early hours of Monday.
Neighbors described a sound resembling “thunder” as the Vauxhall Astra plowed into the front garden of the south London estate at around 1am.
It was towed away around 5 p.m. and left debris strewn across the driveway, damaging a fence, a tree and a fallen pillar.
Police said the driver suffered minor injuries in the Camberwell incident but did not need to go to the hospital.
Mr Johnson bought the four-bed home with Carrie Johnson for £1.2 million in July 2019, according to Land Registry documents.
The Times said a buy-to-lender mortgage was used to pay for it and it was being renovated.
The Register of Interests of MPs says the Prime Minister has a rental income of at least £10,000 a year.
