Capcom teases announcement with countdown website
Capcom has opened a countdown website, maybe an announcement for later this month. The countdown will end in six days, at 2pm JST on February 21, 2022 (12am EST / 5am CEST).
The official Capcom Twitter account posted a tweet linking to the site just minutes after the countdown passed the six-day mark. The tweet includes only two emojis: an hourglass and an eye. While there are no further details on what the announcement will lead to, there are a few notable possibilities.

Fans were quick to point out similarities between the countdown timer’s font and the font used in Resident Evil Village position. In January 2022, Capcom revealed that they were planning to release DLC for Village around 2022. When Capcom announced that they were working on DLC for the latest main title in June 2021An official DLC reveal coming next week is not out of the question.
Another possibility is a Resident Evil 4 remake, after the 2021 release of Resident Evil 4 VR. Rumors and inside reports about a Resident Evil 4 the remake has been circulating for years, as it will be a natural progression from 2020 Resident Evil 3 redo. Similarly, those rumors also mention when the announcement could happen in 2022, although there hasn’t been any official confirmation.
Capcom’s website countdown will end on February 21, 2022, at 2pm JST (12am EST / 5am CEST).
