Cadillac Escalade IQ 2025 Launches Aug. 9 in NYC
Upcoming electric luxury SUVs and an iconic nameplate are about to join the conversation.
On Tuesday, General Motors announced Cadillac Escalade IQ 2025 will debut in New York City on August 9 when it unveils the electric SUV’s signature front lighting.
The electric Escalade will share some styling features in common with the petrol-powered model. The front of the car stands out with a vertical tube-shaped LED daytime running light strip, next to it is a vertical LED headlight cluster. Horizontal LED turn signals meet the leading edge of the hood. The front grille seems to have a plastic sheet like SUV Lyriq And flagship Celestiqalbeit with its own LED lighting signature.
An introductory video released on Cadillac’s YouTube channel accompanying the announcement provided a glimpse of the electric Escalade’s wheel design. spy photos unveiled 24-inch wheels with the same design as the 23-inch Celestiq wheels.
An overhead shot of the instrument panel through the panoramic sunroof shows a large screen perched on top of the dashboard. The Cadillac XT4 and Lyriq 2024 both feature a 33.0-inch 9K OLED display, although it’s unclear whether the Escalade IQ will share that screen or take the 55.0-inch display in the Celestiq.
Electric Escalade will share Ultium . Platform and Powertrain with the electric Chevrolet Silverado EV, GMC Hummer EVAnd GMC Sierra Electric Scooter. That means the SUV can have a battery pack of up to 200 kWh, a range of up to or more 400 miles, and up to 1,000 hp or more with up to three electric motors.
Escalade IQ will be one of the three new electric Cadillacs revealed in 2023, with all three BEVs due to enter production in 2024. The electric Escalade will be built in Detroit.
