Burger King just taught iPhone and Android users an expensive lesson

Do you often wonder about your life?

more technically incorrect

Every week? Daily? Every minute?

Obviously, the last option is the one most favored by famous startup founders. But for the rest of us, we fall into habits, prejudices, and views that are not always really taken into account.

That’s why a new ad can make you stop, like me, and wonder about the words you say and the things you (claim to) believe.

Like the notion that Android phone better Iphoneor vice versa.

Here, you see, we don’t even know what the advertising is telling us — other than that people are always going to be extremists and bigots.

Does this sound like anyone you know? Does this sound like anyone?

This ad introduces us to a fairly well-stocked fast-food outlet, which is a bit of an oddity in and of itself. I think people have delivered or drive through these days.

At first we didn’t know which fast food outlet it was. What we do know is that a young couple started arguing about the different merits of different McDonald’s offerings.

Soon, other diners joined in, shouting about the value of KFC, Five Guys — which I always type as Five Guts at first — and something called BioBurger.

Did I mention this ad is from France? Is it important?

Either way, one of our heroes explains that you really can’t compare KFC chicken and McDonald’s burgers. However, everything becomes fragile.

“I’ve been eating burgers for 20 years, so I don’t need any lessons from you, okay?” provide an interlocutor.

“What? Do you have a degree in burgers?” a woman interjected.

Oh, doesn’t all this remind you of phone camps? Android is more open and flexible, iPhone is more beautiful and reliable. Worse, this is propagated by Android brands that want to compare them to Apple.

However, here, the police came and confirmed that KFC was the best.

Wait, what’s this ad for? Wait a little longer, as this is completely out of control. People stood and shouted. It’s as if Twitter has been turned into a play.

Finally, the male lead of the young couple announced: “Actually, it’s a private conversation.”

And this is where we see it as an advertisement for Burger King, because a waiter brought our Whoppers couple.

“People are crazy,” said the young man. “It’s clearly Whopper.”

For you, it could obviously be a Galaxy S22. For your lover, it can obviously be a iPhone 14″.

What is it about us that makes us want others to use the same phone as us? Of course, beyond the need to see their text in blue, instead of green.

We can have many lively private conversations about the gadgets that are right for us. We can even do it in a public forum like this one without reaching any agreement at all.

But giving people choices is not encouraging them to tell others that their choices were incorrect. It’s about creating a little oasis of personal satisfaction just for you and a topic for personal conversation.

Personally, I think Whoppers is fine. Just like Android phones.
