As Bulgari Octo Finissimo celebrates its 10th anniversary, design initiator and auction house Phillips teamed up to create the Octo Finissimo Special Edition Phillips in association with Bacs and Russo, a limited edition model featuring a monochrome dial, slim octagonal case and symmetrical design elements of the collection.

Are from Bulgaria The designs always reference Roman architecture, the new special edition also retains the Roman sense of geometric symmetry. Thus, around the center of the sandblasted titanium dial, you will see a set of symmetrically engraved markers with only 12 and 6 that break the mold. The new watch removes the seconds sub-dial found in the historic Octo Finissimo design, a decision that features a fully round dial in an eight-sided case.
Aurel Bacs, Bacs & Russo Senior Consultant explains: “With this split dial design, our aim was to create symmetry and pay tribute to more than just Italian origins. of Bulgari but also to the great Italian architects and designers of the 20th century.
“By getting rid of the small seconds counter, for the first time for this model, we wanted to focus on the engraved dial with large numerals and the chapter ring whose color changes from black to gray to bronze, depending on the light. shining.”
The case is 40mm thin and the strap is finished to match the sandblasted titanium dial.
Bulgari’s BVL 138 movement with a platinum micro-rotor (visible from the case back) powers the watch, offering an impressive 60-hour power reserve. The watch will be sold as a limited edition of fifty pieces through Phillips Watches.
