‘Building a Lego city is a lifesaver in an impasse’

A father who built a toy brick city with his son said this hobby used to be a lifesaver during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Adam, 46, and Samuel, 16, spent several years and thousands of pounds building the structure in their garden in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.

Much of the city has been built in the last two years and includes a theme park, town square, and theatre, full of vehicles and street models.

“It’s been a lifesaver for us during the lockdown, being able to just go in and enjoy a hobby and forget what happened,” Adam said.
