Budget 2023: free PSV and B2 Motorcycle License check

Included in Malaysia’s 2023 Budget is the abolition of the fees for the public service motorcycle license (PSV) and B2 class motorbikes. Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz said it is currently set at RM17 for Part I of the B2 exam and RM20 for Part II (including test motorbike rental and use of the test circuit), fees This has now been repealed, Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz said in his budget speech.

At the moment, most driving schools charge a B2 motorcycle license exam fee from RM500 to RM800, which covers course fees and training sessions, including exam bike rental. The cost of a full B license ranges from RM900 to RM1,300, depending on the location.

The PSV license check fee, which applies to people who sign up for taxi, bus and e-mail services, will also be abolished. This is to support the B40 group to make a living from that transportation sector.
