BRT Sunway will be operational on April 27 – the elevated track is used for the Under Armor Dual Race
Attention, Sunway/USJ residents and Sunway BRT Line riders. The elevated bus route will run on the streets this Saturday night. That’s from 6pm to midnight, April 27. This is to clear the way for the Under Armor Dual Race, which will start at 11pm.
This means that BRT buses will travel under the elevated tracks and will stop directly below BRT stations except for 4 stations that will have alternative pick-up and drop-off points. The stations are USJ 7, South Quay, Mentari and Sunway Setia Jaya – see list and images above for locations.
Like Prasarana’s BRT Run, UA’s 21.1km relay will be interesting because it uses an elevated bus line. It’s almost like running on a closed highway, Duo Highway Challenge style, but the road is narrower and you pass stations. The route can be seen for miles ahead, unblocked.
Athletes, race pack collection will take place this Friday, April 26, from 10am to 10pm at the Under Armor store in Sunway Pyramid. As always, bring your confirmation slip and ID. Wishing you a good run.
