British radio presenter Tim Gough dies on air
The radio world is mourning the loss of a veteran.
British radio presenter Tim Gough died on October 24 at the age of 55 while on air on his morning breakfast show. According to a report from GenX Radio Suffolk, Gough is suspected of having a heart attack at 7:50 a.m. at his home in Lackford, Suffolk.
“Tim is a seasoned and highly talented broadcaster with an army of fans for his daily show,” the statement read. “He is a very sad loss to radio and Suffolk County. The entire GenX Radio family is in shock and pain beyond words.”
James HazellGenX Radio’s CEO, Suffolk, described Gough as a broadcaster with more than four decades of experience and said the radio station was “broken at the news” of his passing.
“I personally know Tim, as I have for more than 30 years, to know a warm, caring, fun guy who is dear to me and my family,” Hazell continued. “I know his family is greatly comforted by the hundreds of loving messages that have been received and asked to remain confidential at this horrible time.”
