Breeze expands in New York City subway city with 2 new routes from Long Island



Breeze is adding more straight lines to its map.

The budget carrier’s latest plan focuses on New York’s Islip Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP), where Breeze will add new non-stop routes to both Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) in North Carolina and Portland International Jet Port (PWM) in Maine.

Routes to Portland will launch June 29 and flights to RDU will begin June 28. Flights from New York-Islip to Portland will be a summer route while flights arrive Raleigh-Durham will operate year-round.

One-way fares between New York-Islip and Raleigh-Durham start at $59; Fares to Portland start at $49.

Breeze’s routes continue to grow in all three cities. With two new routes announced on Tuesday, the airline will offer non-stop flights to six seasonal and year-round destinations from Islip. From RDU, Breeze will fly non-stop to nine different cities.

From PWM, Islip will become the airline’s fifth service — and the route was announced even before Breeze made its first flights from the airport. Breeze’s first flights from PWM will begin in mid-May, when the airline rolls out service to Charleston, South Carolina and Tampa. Two more lines will be online in June before the Islip line.
