Brandy let Jack Harlow know what’s good when it comes to her talent! The Grammy Award-winning artist boasted of her skills in a tweet reaction when Jack learned Ray J was her brother. As previously reported, Jack revealed he didn’t know Ray J had a sister while talking to the host of Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning.
“I will kill this guy with a rap at 43 to his own beat and then sing [his] a** to sleep,” Brandy wrote with a black spade emoji.
She then let her Twitter followers know her response was in good faith.
Brandy tweeted: “See, I can have a little fun too, hehe…all in love” along with some heart emojis.
Jack Harlow learns spirits and Ray J is involved
Last week, Jack came to visit Hot 97 for a one-on-one interview with Ebro, Peter Rosenberg and Laura Stylez. The hosts challenged him to a ’90s R&B game where he had to name the singer. When Brandy’s 1999 was successful Angel in disguise Jack sat and looked at nothing.
The showrunners jumped in with clues – eventually solving “her brother has an incredible sex tape.” After thinking for a moment, Jack asked, “Who is Ray J’s sister?” When the host revealed the mystery artist was Brandy, Jack shot back, “nobody’s ever told me that in my life.”
India Arie accuses Jack Harlow of lacking cultural knowledge
His commentary, specifically inferring vocal legends for the title of older sister, hit a chord with the internet street. Many people criticize Jack’s taste in music and seem to lack basic cultural knowledge – for one thing we do know who is related to whom!
India Arie joined the trending conversation echoing those feelings about Brandy in a series of Instagram posts.
“When a real musician! Who makes black MUSIC! Dedicating to one of the industry’s MOST IMPORTANT VOICES! @brandy to Ray J’s SISTER? celebrities (mostly) for being close to Kim Kardashian,” India wrote.
