Boxing Insider Promotions results: Jacob soliS stops Brandon Martinez in two rounds; Avious Griffin defeated LEtsher Espino in round six.

Give Brandon Martinez this – he has heart. After being dropped three times by Jacob Solis in the first round of their scheduled four-round middleweight knockout in Atlantic City on Saturday, Martinez was able to survive the show. Not that it mattered much, as a round two saw the man down and out in the second round, when the referee wisely decided to step in and stop the fight. Suffice it to say, Solis’ record improved to 4-0 while Martinez’s record dropped to 1-4.
Next, 13-0 Avious Griffin takes on 8-3 Lesther Espino. Their welterweight fight is expected to last eight rounds or less. Griffin had a great first half, keeping close to his opponent throughout the three minutes of play. With that in mind, Espino rocked Griffin twice early in the second half. Even though he was obviously injured, Griffin was able to return to fight in the following round. The fighters all landed strong in the third. It was a tighter fight than many might have expected.
Griffin was able to take charge again in the fourth quarter. He was then able to end the whole affair in part five. Pushing Espino onto the field, Griffin patiently waited to finish off his opponent. And he did it after Espino got back to his feet. After a few more seconds of action, the referee wisely intervened and stopped the match.
