Hello PlayStation players! Thank you for the great reception we received from you when we announced that Bloodhunt is coming to PlayStation 5. We can now tell you that Bloodhunt will be released on April 27th!
Since we last spoke, we’ve been working hard to create a great experience for you, so today we’d like to share some details about the PS5 release we’re sure to make. you enjoy.
Great performance without compromise
Bloodhunt features fast and frenetic multiplayer combat with a focus on agility. With the power of the PS5, we were able to target 60 fps, even in the most action-packed moments of battle. More importantly, you’ll fight to dominate the night in a highly detailed rendition of Prague. Select quality mode, for best render quality running at 4K at 30fps, or performance mode, to experience Bloodhunt at 60fps rendered at 1440P.
Our vision was to create an avatar of Prague as close to life as possible. To be able to achieve this of course requires a great deal of attention to detail. So we sent our photographic team to the Czech Republic, to source real-life content that was recreated in-game. We took over 10,000 photos and scanned real-life items, all of which are unique to Prague, such as two massive statues: the Jan Hus Monument and the statue of Charles IV, located at Křižovnické Square. Once converted into a game, this results in thousands of unique textures and content, bringing city details to life with a genuine flair.
We’re extremely pleased with how the final game looks on PS5.
Immersive sound technology
Bloodhunt is set in modern Prague, a city filled with landmarks, narrow streets and tall buildings, so when it comes to audio we’ve got a lot to consider. Especially when you have access to a premium headset like the PS5 Pulse 3D headset.
With the expansive soundscape, the sound in Bloodhunt is important as it allows you to identify nearby threats or the direction the bullets are being fired from. In this way, the 3D sound helps you make strategic decisions about how to outsmart your opponents.
PlayStation Tempest 3D audio technology also really allowed us to highlight one of Bloodhunt’s most unique features: verticality. PS Tempest 3D Audio technology improves sound spatialization, by allowing you to zone enemies more precisely than ever before, even on a vertical axis.
Whether your enemies are sniping from rooftops or a tower crane is rising, you’ll be able to pinpoint their position more precisely. While hunting through the rainy streets of Prague, it has never been easier to locate enemies through sound.
Thrilling battle at your fingertips
The DualSense wireless controller features really allow us to take Bloodhunt’s visceral, fast-paced gameplay to the next level of immersion, and we can’t wait for you to try it out.
The DualSense controller’s adaptive vibrations and triggers allow us to make you truly feel the weight of battle as you experience the impact of each powerful attack and weapon. For example, handguns have a heavy kick and trigger pull, while sub-machine guns can be exploited more easily but with more intense recoil.
The controller’s lighting also guides you through the game. It lights up based on your team’s colors or when you’re being tracked by an opponent and thus get robbed, so keep an eye out for it.
Furthermore, the speakers on the DualSense controller will provide immersive high fidelity sound for consumables or cannibals.
With Bloodhunt, we aim to create an experience that is compelling both visually and from a game design perspective without sacrificing quality. At the same time, it is important to us that the game is freely accessible to a large audience.
