The Honda Hawk11 made its public debut this past weekend, being unveiled at the Osaka Motorcycle Show.
Thanks to shoot spies and detail already leaked ahead of the bike’s debut, there aren’t too many surprises to be found from this Africa Twin powered roadster.
In fact, the biggest surprise isn’t in the spec sheet, as Honda has so far said that the Hawk11 is only for the Japanese market, with information from its European and North American subsidiaries about it. whether this vehicle will reach those areas.
Depending on how the bike turns out for you, that could be bad news, as the 1,082cc tandem engine (strangely, 2cc less than expected) promises to be a model factory. – Torque and powerful for sporty street trips.
Despite borrowing chassis from Africa Twin, Honda Hawk11 misses some better styling cues that we have seen in this segment from other brands.
However, that fact could be a byproduct of the Hawk11 equation, as Honda is clearly trying to reduce the cost of the street bike by borrowing bits and bobs from Africa Twin 1100 Bicycles ADV and NT1100 traveler.
Even so, the Japanese brand has been very tight-lipped about the details so far (perhaps more will come at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show), but we expect strong pricing for the Honda Hawk11. .
What we do know is what we can see, is that the Honda Hawk11 has a six-speed sequential transmission, with no DCT in sight. That could change with another trim option, but it fits the bike’s budget focus.
Likewise, the dashboard is plain LCD, Nissin brakes and Showa suspension (SFF-BP forks up front).
The circular console offers traction control and engine brake control options (similar to other 1,100cc twin bike models), with various engine modes for throttle response.
So far, Honda has make strong make offerings from now universal engine, so we put high hopes on Honda Hawk11. However, the devil is in the details, and in that respect we are lacking information.
