VentureOne offers cardholders significant low-cost value to their bank accounts. Use it on every purchase to scratch for miles. Try to reserve at least one aspect of travel (such as hotels, rental cars, and airline tickets) through Capital One Travel to earn 5 miles a dollar. Miles can then be transferred to Capital One’s travel partners or redeemed for recent travel purchases, gift cards or statement credits.
However, Capital One does not offer many domestic airline partners and remittance fees vary depending on the partner. So unless you’re planning to fly internationally, the best use of your miles would be to redeem for travel purchases made within 90 days.
Redemption for past travel expenses will guarantee a value of 1 cent per mile. That said, you won’t have to worry about foreign transaction fees, so if you plan on traveling internationally, you won’t incur any additional fees when using your card abroad.
