The strongest course at the start of the 2022-23 PGA Tour season followed by the weakest as the 2022 Bermuda Championship welcomes a diverse group to Port Royal Golf Course. With no game quintessential software set to develop it this week, an open relationship is likely to emerge in this design by Robert Trent Jones because of the bomber. and barbers alike have worked around this property effectively over the years.

Despite the relative shortage of stars upon arrival in Bermuda, the funds remained the same. The Bermuda Championship will receive independent status for the 2022-23 season, so winners will be equipped with all the richness of a top PGA Tour stop including 500 FedEx Cup points, championship exemptions great enemy and secure jobs in the near future.

Simply put, a win this week could prove to be life-changing. Rookies, DP World Tour moderators, laners, veterans and everyone in between will give their all in the hope of securing the right to compete over the next few years. Led by Denny McCarthy, other PGA Tour stalwarts planning to host it in Bermuda include Seamus Power, Mark Hubbard, Patrick Rodgers and even John Daly, 56.

Let’s take a closer look at this week’s 2022 Bermuda Championship with odds provided via Caesars Sportsbook.

2022 Bermuda Championship field, odds

  • Denny McCarthy (16-1): After nearly advancing into the Tour Championship in 2021-22, McCarthy struggled out of the gate. He’s only managed one top 25 result in four starts, but the way he finished T37 last week at The CJ Cup could be encouraging. Ranked inside the top half of each stat from tee to green at Congaree, it’s surprising the hit that failed the 29-year-old. In his previous three appearances at the Bermuda Championship, he brilliantly acquitted with T15-T4-T39 finishes.
  • Thomas Detry (18-1): Capturing several PGA Tour statuses through the Korn Ferry Tour Playoffs, Detry made the most of his playing opportunities. Finishing T12 at the Fortinet Championship and T9 at the Sanderson Farm Championships, the Belgian fell to his quick pace with just one touch at the Shriners Children Open. After a couple of weeks of rest, Detry will be able to threaten at Port Royal GC, where he finished T22 a season ago.
  • Seamus Power (January 22)
  • Mark Hubbard (January 22): The 33-year-old is just minutes away from being able to win the Sanderson Farms championship in his second first of the season. Having lost in Jackson, Mississippi, Hubbard has since continued to play well with T28 finishes and 66th solo in the last two outings. Port Royal GC has been a great landing spot for dwarfs like Brendon Todd and Brian Gay in recent years, and could prove the same for Hubbard.
  • Adrian Meronk (January 22)
  • Nick Hardy (January 25): In his second season on the PGA Tour, Hardy looked much more relaxed than at any point in his rookie campaign. The catalyst for a quick start is simple: play iron. The former Illinois standout leads this Bermuda Championship field in both tee-to-green and approach-hit shots over the past two months. If some form can be found on and around the green, Hardy will be in contention for his first win on the PGA Tour.
  • Aaron Rai (25-1)
  • Patrick Rodgers (January 28)
  • Justin Lower (January 28): The man who made a bogey on the 72nd hole of the Wyndham Championship to fall out of the top 125 is proving his second chance is guaranteed. Lower led the field for the past two months in total strokes, and had a chance at the Fortinet Championship before stumbling on the final day. That omission did not discourage the 33-year-old, however, as he signed up for T45 and T20 finishes. With a T17 record at the Bermuda Championship last season, all signs point to Lower being a factor.
  • SH Kim (January 30)
